Event Volunteer
Application
Event Volunteers have a public-facing role during the York Unlocked weekend event. As an Event Volunteer you will be stationed at one of the fantastic buildings that participate in York Unlocked, where you will manage queues, give directions, distribute fact sheets, answer practical questions and provide information about York Unlocked. You will be sent a digital copy of the York Unlocked programme, and will be provided with a volunteer lanyard during the event. As a volunteer you will have priority when visiting other buildings during York Unlocked. We also have volunteer-only events throughout the year which provide access to some of the unlocked buildings, as well as a chance to socialise.
Volunteer Details
The Requirement
We ask you to commit to a 3.5-hour session (either morning or afternoon) and will allocate you to a specific building.
Induction
Before the Autumn Festival a full induction briefing will be held for all to attend so you know what to expect and meet other volunteers.
